Children's Museum

We met up with my cousin Jen and her kids Cambria and Kate at the Children's museum in Salt Lake. It was so fun to see them and Makenna and Cambria had a blast together! Makenna loved all the fun pretend things you could do there like grocery shopping and playing in the kid-sized house. It was a lot of fun!

Hanging with the Becks

We got to see our friends the Becks while we were in Utah. It was so fun to see them and Brinn and Kenna had a great time together. Megan and I got to have a girl's night which was so fun! We miss you guys.

Family Reunion

I have a lot of posts to catch up on! I have basically been gone for the past 2 1/2 weeks... so here's what we did!
First we had the Lee family reunion up in Farmington/Bloomfield, NM. The first day we spent at a private park we rented for the day. We played all kinds of games and it was so much fun. One of the highlights of the day was the water fight and watching all the kids gang up on Scott- he was definitely a target! Then we went up to the mountains by Durango the next day. It was so beautiful and the kids had a blast playing in the water and exploring. The third day we went to the Bloomfield Aquatic center which was great and had a testimony meeting at the stake farm that night. We also did the Lee marshmallow fight where everybody opens bags of big marshmallows and throws them at each other... it gets a little crazy, but so much fun! We really enjoyed our time with all the Lees and wish we could see some of them more often!

Makenna with grandpa

Grandpa jumped in the freezing cold water to create a memory for the kids... so funny!
Loving the water and cousins!

For your viewing pleasure

This is the most Jace has ever laughed and I only caught about half of it! I love how it seems so uncontrollable... Makenna, btw, can get Jace to laugh more than anyone else!

A tribute to DADS

We'll start out with my dad. I have so many good memories from my childhood of my dad...
My dad was always making up silly songs... Every time we were going to McDonald's we would sing "McDonald's is our kind of place, it's a hap hap happy place!" He always took time to put me to bed at night and I remember we would sing songs together. I always liked that special daddy daughter time. He was always a sucker for buying us treats when we went places- I specifically remember that he would always buy us cotton candy if it was available! I'm so grateful for my dad and the funny and silly guy that he is. He can always make me laugh. (see pictures below!)

Scott is such a great dad as well. Makenna is such a daddy's girl. Every day when Scott leaves for work she is so sad, and throughout the day asks when he will be home! She loves playing with her daddy. Scott is really good about taking the time to play dollhouse, make "dance parties," and he always plays along when she calls him her Prince Charming and want to give him "true loves kisses." I love seeing Scott interact with our kids, it adds a new dimension to the love I have for him!
Hard-working dad... he has done everything in our backyard BY HIMSELF! Way to go Scott...

Here's a pic I took today

Here's to all the dads out there that are dedicated to their role as fathers.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Photo Shoot

This is my favorite of Kenna cause you can see her exploring which she LOVES to do! Very Makenna... (Yes this is the best I could come up with!)
It's pretty self explanatory why I like this picture...

Sorry all the pictures of my kids! I borrowed my SIL's nice camera and have been taking pictures of my kids the last couple days! Today we went to the aquarium and botanical gardens. We had so much fun! It is so beautiful there. I just wish Makenna would pose better! Unfortunately I hardly got any good pictures of her, but I got some cute ones of Jace! Here are some of my favorites...

After taking these pictures I realized the lens had been smudged, so they are a little blurry- but cute!
Here are the pictures from today... some look a little washed out- I'm not a professional!

4 months!!

Jace turned 4 months yesterday! Crazy! We took him to his 4 month check-up today and he weighed 18 pounds and is 26 1/2 inches long. That's 95% for both! He's very proportional I guess! So he's just very large... He is so cute lately. I enjoy his little giggles and his big smiles. He found his hands about a week ago and loves to grab onto everything now and put it in his mouth. He also likes to be really vocal and can carry a "conversation" for a while. Jace LOVES to be held, and his mommy spoils him all day long by following his wishes. My arms are getting quite toned in the meantime. Sometimes I just have to put him down though and it's sad because he'll cry. What's a mom supposed to do?! I don't want him to think he has to be held 24/7! He's so sweet though and such a joy.
Nicknames- Super Chubb, Mr. Jace, Jace Face, Brother, Jacey

Here are some giggles I caught on camera- enjoy! Sorry about the spitup!

Jace's room

I know he's almost 4 months old, but my goal was just to finish it by the time I move him out of our room. So it's really not late at all! Jace has been sleeping so well that I decided to do the switch, and last night was his first time sleeping in his own room. It went really well! I am somewhat happy to get him out of our room so we don't need to be so quiet, but I think it's always hard to separate myself from my kids. For a personal touch in his room, most of the pictures in the frames are from Scott's childhood. That is probably my favorite part of the room.

¡Explora!

We had a fun time at ¡Explora! today. It's a "cool" science museum here in Albuquerque similar to the one in San Francisco, Exploratorium. Makenna really loves it there because there are so many fun things to look at and touch. I always enjoy myself as well. I always did like my science classes, so I guess I am somewhat of a science nerd. :)
