Future artist??

Warning- this may not be exciting or cool to anyone else...
Makenna has loved to draw and color since she was a little, so I have been so excited to find her little works of art looking like real things instead of just scribbles! The first one was probably 2 months ago, and the rest I have found since. They are my little treasures!

Jace and Makenna Lately...

Jace's first time on a swing! He loved it!!
He loves playing with his toys now... phew! I was getting tired of holding the little guy all the time!
These two LOVE eachother!
Cute one of Jace- I love that little smile
My little guy is rolling over all the time now!
Well Jace is getting so big as you can see above. Makenna is sooo fun! She loves to dress-up and sing and dance all day long. We found her on the trampoline one day jumping gracefully and singing "ballet, ballet, ballet!" We will have to put her in dance lessons soon! She still loves the movie Enchanted and can sing all the songs now almost all the way through! (we have the cd) I am her new music teacher in nursery and it's so fun watching her sing the loudest to all the songs. She has such a fun outgoing personality.

Richie comes to town

Scott's best friend from college, Richie, came to visit last weekend. It was a lot of fun to see him and show him around Albuquerque. We are trying to get him to move here... we'll see!

Neighbors

We love our neighbors! This is Makenna with her little buddy Benjamin. He is the cutest little guy! They love playing together outside.

Visitors

We were so excited to have the Johansons (Scott's sister) come visit! I have been wanting to get these girls together for a long time but we haven't been able to see them for 2 years since they live in Georgia. The girls had so much fun together just as I predicted! It was so cute to see them play. We wish you guys lived closer!
Anyone that knows Scott well knows he loves to discuss (ok argue) controversial topics. A family get together with the Lee side just wouldn't be complete without a good argument! Oh and their son is the first to make Jace not look so huge! Spencer was born 2 months before. Aunt Erika doing Makenna's hair- she loved that
Fun with cousins in our still pretty ugly backyard

4th of July

We spent the 4th at my Grandma Pike's house (my dad's mom). It was so good to see her and Grandpa Bob. They are two very special people and I always enjoy being in their company. A lot of my cousins were there too so it was fun to catch up. My grandparents live in a house that overlooks the Rose Bowl stadium so we had a sweet view of the fireworks that go off from there. It's something we always did when I was a kid so it was fun to do it again now that I'm older and share it with my family.

Balboa Park

We hit up Balboa Park one day to go to a couple museums and just walk around. The pictures are from the Natural History Museum. It was beautiful weather (of course it's San Diego...)

The BEACH

Of course we went to the beach whenever we could. It was so fun! My highlight was probably when Scott and I got to go out in the ocean by ourselves and ride the waves together. Makenna of course LOVED the beach as you can see by the pictures! I miss it already!

San Diego County Fair

We went to the San Diego County Fair one day which was so fun! We saw pig races, Motocross and monster trucks (HOLY COW SO LOUD!!), lots of animals, Makenna rode a pony, and that night Scott and I came back for a Little Big Town concert. It was so good! I'm definitely a fan. Sorry no pics...

Family Pictures

Grandma Holland's House

We loved being at grandma Holland's house. She has such a beautiful yard and it's so fun for kids because it's on a slope, so Makenna loved rolling down the hills! I'm so bummed I forgot to take a picture with grandma and grandpa...

Children's Museum

We met up with my cousin Jen and her kids Cambria and Kate at the Children's museum in Salt Lake. It was so fun to see them and Makenna and Cambria had a blast together! Makenna loved all the fun pretend things you could do there like grocery shopping and playing in the kid-sized house. It was a lot of fun!

Hanging with the Becks

We got to see our friends the Becks while we were in Utah. It was so fun to see them and Brinn and Kenna had a great time together. Megan and I got to have a girl's night which was so fun! We miss you guys.

Family Reunion

I have a lot of posts to catch up on! I have basically been gone for the past 2 1/2 weeks... so here's what we did!
First we had the Lee family reunion up in Farmington/Bloomfield, NM. The first day we spent at a private park we rented for the day. We played all kinds of games and it was so much fun. One of the highlights of the day was the water fight and watching all the kids gang up on Scott- he was definitely a target! Then we went up to the mountains by Durango the next day. It was so beautiful and the kids had a blast playing in the water and exploring. The third day we went to the Bloomfield Aquatic center which was great and had a testimony meeting at the stake farm that night. We also did the Lee marshmallow fight where everybody opens bags of big marshmallows and throws them at each other... it gets a little crazy, but so much fun! We really enjoyed our time with all the Lees and wish we could see some of them more often!

Makenna with grandpa

Grandpa jumped in the freezing cold water to create a memory for the kids... so funny!
Loving the water and cousins!
