picture- MANIA!

Being a mother of two kids has been so great! I love the fun age that Makenna is at, and the sweet baby stage that Jace is at. I have the best of both worlds. Makenna loves being a big sister. She always wants to hold Jace and kiss him (a little too much sometimes!) She always says "When you get bigger you can play with me!" I absolutely love being a mother and I know it is definitely my calling in life. It doesn't get much better than this...

Pictoras!!

Here are some recent pics of Jace! I took a ton of cute ones with my mom's nice film camera, but they aren't developed yet. So as soon as I get those back I will post some.

Visitor

Last weekend, my friend Megan came to visit! We have been friends forever, so it was really fun to have her come and show her what my life is like these days. (Which is really exciting might I add) Makenna absolutely loved playing with Megan, and asked her to play all day long! It was so cute... It was also fun to show off little Jace. We had a great time catching up, and did a little sight seeing in Santa Fe as well. Thanks for the great weekend Megan!!

Here' s a picture of us in high school on the canoe trip that changed our lives... :)

Is it just me??

Is it just me or do my kids look a lot alike as babies?! I was noticing how much Jace is starting to look like Kenna, and I looked at some old pictures of her and I was amazed! Tell me if I'm just seeing things. It's kind of hard to tell who your own kids look like... His new hair that is growing in looks blonde too so I think he might be a blondy like Kenna.
Here are some cute pictures of the two together today. I actually caught him smiling! Excuse the silly pics of Makenna... it is really hard to get a picture these days without her making a silly face! I always say, "ok one more silly face and then you have to smile," but she keeps saying "one more mom, one more!"

He's healthy!

If you all could see me right now you would laugh! I've got Jace in my left arm, Makenna sitting on my right leg, and I'm typing with my right hand! I guess I'm going to have to get used to this... I took Jace to the doctor today for his 2 week check up (2 weeks, 3 days), and the child weighs 9 lbs 6 oz. and is now 22 inches long! I'm so glad to know he is gaining weight cause when you are nursing you never really know for sure how much they are getting. No more worrying about that!! I have to admit it was nice to get out today, even though it was just to the doctor! I am not used to this hermit lifestyle, but at the same time the germ freak side of me wants to shut myself indoors for months! I had a hard enough time going to the doctor; I made Makenna use anti-bacterial every 2 minutes (I'm not kidding). Well enjoy the cute pics I took of my kids yesterday!

Photo Shoot!

Here is our sweet baby Jace. We have really enjoyed the last couple of weeks with him. My mom left on Wednesday so I'm on my own now, but it's not as overwhelming as I thought it would be... It's definitely a lot more work, but manageable. I am so in love with this boy- he's such a good baby. I think I'm really going to enjoy being a mommy of a little boy; I already feel such a bond to him. Well enjoy these pictures we took a couple days ago...

Jace Donavan is here!

Jace Donavan Lee was born on Saturday the 2nd at 12:02 PM. He was 8 lbs. 1 oz and 20 inches long. He was born after a 3-hour induced labor and 3 pushes! I'm not complaining! :) He's got lots of dark hair and the sweetest little cleft chin (that doesn't run in the family!) It has been really fun to see how Makenna would react, and she has been doing great with him. She loves to look at him and stroke his head and gives him lots and lots of kisses! I am happy she is doing well (knock on wood). I'm sure once grandma leaves and she doesn't get as much attention she might notice the change more. He has been such a blessing in our house. It is so special looking at his tiny body and knowing where he just came from. We are so happy he is here!

A Lee update

So I'm still picture-less since we can't find my camera... (Don't worry, if we have the baby we are borrowing my Sister-in-law's camera). BUmmer!! So, the news in our household is that we have been sick with the flu! I had a pretty mild case for most of the week, and Scott got it halfway through the week and has had it pretty bad. Now Makenna has been showing signs of a fever and I'm really nervous! I just hope this baby doesn't come anytime soon as I would hate to spread any germs to him... The latest on my pregnancy is that I am about 37 weeks, and 2-3 cm dilated. So that makes me nervous that he could make his grand entrance before we want him to! My mom will be here the 30th, so I'm really hoping to make it until then. Besides the fact that I'm nearing the end, I'm feeling pretty good still. It will definitely be nice when it's all over and we have a sweet little baby boy. Oh, and the name we decided on is Jayce Donavan. We will be sure to post pics when he arrives!

New Years Week

My family came to visit this week! It was so great. We loved having our first real company at our new house. We took them to Santa Fe which was f-f-freezing, but still awesome! My sisters wondered why all the houses looked like boxes... :) We also took them bowling at Isleta and it was a lot of fun, but I don't recommend bowling when you are 8 months pregnant! I had to give up halfway through the first game... wuss I know. haha. Then last night we took the tram up to the top of the Sandia mountains at sunset which was sooo beautiful! It was a great ending to their stay here in Albuquerque. We are going to miss them a lot!

No Christmas pics.... :(

So somehow I lost my camera at Scott's parent's house Christmas day... I'm so bummed!! Hopefully it will show up soon. So I have no pics of Christmas, but we had a great time! We spent Christmas Eve with the Bentleys and Scott's parents. Makenna was an angel in the nativity story and shouted "Peace on Earth!" hahaha. It was very cute. Christmas morning was very easygoing. We woke Makenna up at 8:30 (she was exhausted) and went out to the Christmas tree. She was amazed that she was actually allowed to open presents! She got spoiled and had a great morning playing with her toys. I will post pictures if I ever find my camera!
