Women's Conference

I know I know. I have been horrible about blogging lately. Busy busy busy, that's all I have to say!
Well I had the awesome privilege of going to Women's Conference this year at BYU, by myself, kid-less, awesome, yeah...
It was so much fun!! I got to see BFF Megan the first day I got there! All I can say, is she is my girl. We were definitely destined to meet the small amount of time she lived in ABQ. I wish she lived by me so bad! We had a blast together, and I miss her mucho.

(Not the best pic- stole from her blog)

I went to Women's Conference with madre and my 2 sister-in-laws Sherri and Michelle. It was SOOO much fun, and I learned so much, and I loved hearing the speakers, and I loved the amazing music, and there were no kids, and my bum hurt a little from sitting all day, and we stayed up late talking, and we didn't have to cook, uh-huh. awwww yeah, all except the bum thing.
Pretty sure I'll go again next year.

Me and my madre

This is what I like to call "all the crazy ladies." It is hilarious to see all these ladies without kids around- they turn into teenagers.

Love these girls

Easter Weekend

We went up to Bloomfield/Farmington for Easter last weekend. We love getting together with all the cousins up there! I'm not going to lie, it is a little crazy-but fun!

We had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday which was so much fun! All the kids (and parents) loaded up on candy!

Just a small glimpse of the craziness!

Cousin lovin

Baby Brig was given a name and blessing on Easter Sunday. He was blessed at Scott's parent's house and it was nice to be in a more intimate setting.

Scott's Grandma Katie came to visit. I have to say that she is one of my favorite people! We love her so much!

I absolutely love Easter. I always feel so uplifted and grateful for our Savior. I absolutely loved Elder Holland's talk in conference. I found this great video of part of his talk and wanted to share it with you.

back back to Cali Cali

The kids and I flew out to California for a week, and we had a great time. We went to disneyland, the beach, watched conference together, and celebrated Easter. It's always nice to go home, and I always want to move back every time I go!

Charlie enjoyed eating Jace's fallen food, and Jace eventually started throwing it to him!

This is why I want to live in California...

We met up for lunch at Ki's and had an amazing view!

What's with the photogenic child all of a sudden??

"The Best Day Ever!"

We got to have a mommy-daughter day at Disneyland, and Makenna was in heaven! We had the best time, and I absolutely loved spending the day with her. While we were in line for one of the rides, she said "mom, this is the best day ever!" She insisted on wearing her "disneyland hat" the entire day. I thought she would have been sick of it, but she never took it off! Funny girl..

teacups!

This is the first time she tasted cotton candy! I let her take it in line with us as we waited for "Small World," not thinking that she would make a total sticky mess and my wipes were in the stroller... The poor girl was ridiculously sticky... Good thing the lady behind us offered some wet wipes!

She LOVED the "Small World" ride! The colors are amazing!

Makenna absolutely loved seeing Mickey again... One person she did not like seeing? Pluto! We stood in line to meet him, and when we got to him she started crying and said he was scary... hmmm.

Megan joined us in the afternoon with her little sister, and we had a great time together!

Meeting princess Jasmine and lovin it. (I think she needs a better bra... I'm just sayin...)

I think this is one of the cutest pictures I've taken of Makenna so I had to include it! Right after this we got in line for Splash Mountain! Makenna is just tall enough to go on it now! She loved it! She definitely didn't take after her mommy who was forever too scared to ride splash mountain as a kid.

Megan and her cute sister Shannon.

I think our favorite ride was the carousel! We rode it 3 times! I think riding on a carousel definitely brings the kid out of you!

Botanical Gardens

I absolutely love the botanical gardens in the spring. The bulbs look so pretty! Here is a picture of Makenna at the botanical gardens last spring...

And here she is this year! She sure has changed a lot! I thought it was funny I happened to take the same picture a year later... I thought this picture looked familiar!

Still crawling!

Playing tag. We were one of the only families there... not sure why, it was a perfect day!!
