Girls Weekend to Phoenix!

For my birthday weekend I got to go with a bunch of friends to Phoenix for a girl's weekend!  We all originated in the Ventana Ranch ward, although there are only a couple girls that are still in that ward.  We met from all over in Phoenix since it was somewhat centrally located!

We got to a hotel at about 8-9 and headed straight for the hot tub while we waited for other girls to get there.  It was so dang relaxing!  When we all got there it was so fun to see everyone, especially the girls that had moved away.  We talked until late into the night!  We picked bed buddy names and mine was Wendy!  Best bed buddy ever!  (meaning she did not snore or kick me!)  haha

The next morning it was my birthday!!  Yay!  We got up and went shopping!  LOTS of shopping!  We went to West Elm, where I got my birthday bedding, then to the mall.

For lunch we went to Oreganos.  It was really yummy.  My friend, Sara, came to meet me for a few minutes!  We were roommates at BYU Idaho.  It was so good to see her since she is one of my very good friends and I hadn't seen her in so long!

Next we went to sprinkles!  So yummy

 We did more mall shopping at a different mall that day, and then got In-n-out, and headed to the timeshare where we would be staying for the next couple days!  It was so awesome.  Frances rocks for letting us use it.  We just talked and had a fun time.  We also did a "favorite things" party, where everyone brought their favorite thing and someone else got to go home with it.  I brought a soap dispenser and yummy soap (I know I'm cool.  It's the little things that make me happy!)  I went home with some fun Martha Stewart office supplies (something else I love!) 

The next morning we got up and went to Ikea for breakfast and more shopping!  BTW we were wearing these shirts...

Next we at lunch at Cafe Rio, then some girls went to the pool, and some of us went to see Stephanie's new house.  It was really pretty and it was fun to go see it since she was so excited about it!

The new Gilbert temple was on the drive back.  So gorgeous.

We got some snow cones at Bahama Bucks, then did a little more shopping!  We were almost shopped out!!  :)  Then we all ate dinner and met up at the timeshare.  Then it was time for hot tubbing!  It was so fun sitting around the hot tub talking.  Definitely a highlight.  Then we headed back to the condos and had a spiritual thought (love that we did that!), and made a craft.  Apparently Darbie and I forgot that most people are not as inherently crafty as we are because they could not get it!  haha.  It was really funny.  Also there was a smorgasbord of "nut" jokes since we were making bracelets with hex nuts.  HAHAHA  it was so funny.  We had such a fun time.  I love these girls!

The next morning we went out to breakfast and headed back home.  It was so fun to be back home with my family!  It was definitely an amazing weekend though, and I loved every minute of it!
