Gardens

Scott has been painting a friend's house all week, so I've seen him about 5 minutes total each day since he gets up so early for seminary, goes to work, then paints till midnight!  I don't know how he does it seriously!  He is amazing.

It has made me realize how much I like (need) having him around.  Lately I have been feeling like everything has been going so smoothly!  My kids get along so well, Cami is an amazing baby and sleeping so good, and I haven't had a mommy flip out moment in a long time!  That has changed in the last few days...  Let's just say I really needed to just get out and enjoy some fresh air.  So I decided last minute to go to the botanical gardens, and my sweet friend joined me in my craziness!  It was perfect- just what I needed.

That is her smile!  It is hilarious

I got a cute picture for mother's day :)  Oh and my hair is brown!

My sweet baby

What would I do without my Kenna girl?  She's so so helpful.  When she knew I was having a bad day, she stepped in and helped as much as she could.  Love her!!

my day of birth!

I never post about my birthdays and then I always wonder what I did for my birthday, so here it is!  My mama got me all the products to do gel nails!  If you have ever had gels done at the nail salon, you know they are awesome!  They go on just like nail polish, but you have to cure them in a UV nail light, and then they last for weeks!  I did my toes using some nail glitter and I love them!  haha  Scott says I get a lot of pleasure out of little things!  It's true.  :)

The night before my b-day I went out to dinner with some friends at Nicky V's- yum!  It was a lot of fun.  Then on my birthday I woke up to some Krispy Kremes.  Then Scott went to work, Makenna to school, and Jace to joy school...  I thought to myself, birthdays just aren't as exciting as I remember as a kid!  haha.  So I did what any girl would do, I went shopping!  I had myself a good ol' time!  haha  That night when Scott got home we went out to Tucanos, my fave!  Scott then told me that he tried to get an iPhone for me but they wouldn't let us upgrade for 2 weeks- DANG!  I thought they might do it early, but guess not!  But in 2 weeks I will have my iPhone!  Can't wait!  Oh and BTW facebook is so fun on your b-day!  I love all the fun b-day wishes.  It really did end up being such a great day!  Thanks everyone that made it special!  :)

New job!

Last week we said goodbye to Glidden Professional!  What a great job it has been for us.  We have had a great 4 1/2 years working for them.  Scott did a great job, and even won Salesman of the year in the West last year, along with other awards.  The next step up is district manager, and frankly, he doesn't want to be a DM!  We decided it was time for a change!  He got another sales job with a company called Modspace.  It seems like a good step up from his current job and we are really excited about it!  Modspace seems to take really good care of their staff and he loves his new boss.  Scott is also very excited to start a business on the side now that he will not have a conflict of interest working in the paint industry.  I'm sure you will hear more about that in the future!

Of course, we had to have a photo shoot!!  hahahaha
goodbye cute car!  He actually got the same one in gray for his new job...

That door behind the desk leads to his office...

The soda machine that Scott would always buy sodas from for the kids when we came to visit!  It was "tradition!" he said...  :P

Cami at 7 months

I can't believe Cami is 7 months!!  Here's the latest:

She is now sleeping from 8-7!  I feel like a new woman!
She got her first tooth 3-ish weeks ago, and her second is about to pop up
She is always smiling!
She rolls all over the place
She LOVES food!  (Can you tell?!)
She started sitting alone about a month ago
She loves Stacy's dog, Bailey
She likes baths!

Here are Makenna and Cami wearing the same dress.  Man, Makenna had some long hair!

First tooth!  (I had been painting that day!)

Easter

We had a really fun easter this year.  We went up to Bloomfield/Farmington since we haven't been there since Scott's parents left on their mission!  The kids had the best time with their cousins.  We need to go more often.

The 12 days leading up to Easter the kids got to open a new egg every day with a different easter activity and a little treat.  It was a hit for sure.  We did things like make easter crafts, fly kites, watch easter movie etc.  Also for family night before easter we had a special lesson on Christ's resurrection that was so good.  I wasn't sure the kids would really understand, but they really did.  My sister-in-law Angie gave me some awesome stuff to use next year and I plan on doing a whole week's worth of celebrating Christ and His resurrection.  What a great opportunity to share our testimony to our children and help them understand Christ and what He means to us.

We did our Easter bunny baskets on Saturday with Erika's kids and Karmiyah and Ana who were over for a sleepover!

Then we had a small easter egg hunt in the backyard to look for eggs the easter bunny hid...

Then we headed to Angie's big Easter egg hunt at the park.  It was realllly fun and we spent a few hours there enjoying the weather, having a picnic, and enjoying the company!

I love her permanent wrist rolls!!  I want to eat her up!

Camryn's room

I'm finally completely finished!  We have been missing the curtains and bedskirt for a few months!  haha oh well!  It's done and I love it.  This is the first room in our house that I designed and picked out everything for the room instead of just using what we had.  It was SO fun!  I can't wait to do our master soon... :)
I made the bedding and painted the mirror above her bed.

I can't find the perfect baskets for the window bench so that's not done but whatevs!

I LOVE this Sara Jane print.  This was actually purchased for Makenna who will someday be joining Cami in this room.  She is constantly stopping to smell flowers, so this print fit her so well!  There are a couple more prints in this set that I will add someday.  :)

I painted the side table and added the knob, painted the rocker and reupholstered it, and made the pillow.  The curtains are actually sheets hung by rods that I bought at hobby lobby and painted.

 this is my room!

These flowers I cut with my cricut and put in frames I painted

I painted the dresser and made the C out of buttons.  The booties are her blessing shoes.

This print is also from Sarah Jane and I'm IN LOVE!!  I am always telling Cami to just stay little!  She doesn't listen!!  I found that frame on the side of the road and painted it.

I think she likes it!!  She better, mommy spent lots and lots of time on it!!  :)
