Easter craft day

A couple of my friends, Lisa and Darbie, came over with their kids and we made some cute easter crafts with them!  It was really fun and the kids loved it.

Bloomfield trip

We went to Bloomfield one weekend just for the fun of it.  It was great as always.  We love hanging out with the Johansons.  This is the adults staying up late to talk- my fave.  We always have so much to talk about and stay up way too late!

Scott did some work while we were there.  Erika, Angie, and I went up to Durango for the day on Monday.  We took the kids to a ceramic art class where they got to make their own ceramics.  Makenna made the bowl in front, and Jace made the angry bird with a little help from me :)

I love Durango!

We had a picnic at the park and then took the kids to the aquatic center.  They had a blast!  Cami was so funny and started out not even wanting to go in the water.  Slowly I got her to get in, play with the water squirters, and then finally go down the baby slides!  She made a lot of progress!

The next day we let the kids play all day.  That night Scott and I went to shoot our guns out in the hills.  Scott always wants to do this when we go home!
Yes I have a terrible stance and look lame shooting, but I did shoot them and here is proof!

I love this pic I took.  Don't mess!

Cami

As I'm going through my pictures to figure out which ones to post, I noticed a trend of Cami pictures :)  She is pretty darn cute.  So here is a post on Cami...
She loved that blanket (it is now lost) and loved to wrap herself all up in it!

Her little funny face

Cami and Lucy besties

Cami LOVES her cousin Brody so much!  He is so sweet with her.  Here she is on his lap watching a show

Snuggled up with her brother, whom she also loves

First real pigtails

Cami always wants to be just like her brother and sister.  Here they are for FHE leading the music

Cami loves to show her belly!

skyping with Stacy and grandma.  We try to skype with family every sunday!

She loves to snuggle up with her brother

I'm sure I haven't done any stats recently because I stink, but last time we went in, she was average for height and weight, so she's our first average sized child!  I will update more about her after I get more pictures up, since these are kind of old!  There should be lots more posts soon since I'm trying really hard to update the blog!

Valentine's Day

I love Valentines day!  For one thing it always marks the anniversary of when we started dating.  10 years this time!  I also love celebrating love!  I love love!

Here are the bubble Valentines Makenna (cough cough) made for her class this year.  They were actually extremely easy.  :)

My valentines for my sweeties

My Valentine for Scott...  haha so random but I love it!

My sweet husband went to walgreens to get me roses :)  He is very sweet to do that!  He is not the best at gifts and all that, and I'm perfectly fine with it because it is not my love language!  One of my love languages is words of affirmation and he does great at that.  I always treasure the cards he writes me on valentine's day :)  While we are on the subject, my other love language is quality time!  Now you know!  ;)

Our family tradition is that I make a nice dinner, we dress up, set the table all nice, and eat a fancy dinner together!  I really like it except the slaving away in the kitchen part... but it is always worth it!  We had some fancy marinated meat, salad, rolls, asparagus, and sparkling apple cider.  Then chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.  YUM

This was our "Valentine's Day" present... the desk and computer.  Really we just needed them so it was a good excuse!  Fun day!

Friends

I am so lucky to have made such great friends here.  They make life so much more fun.  We probably get out about once a week to do something fun, and during the day sometimes too.
GNO shopping!  We are major dorks.  haha

This is my "cleaning club!"  Haha  We met at each other's houses once a week to help each other with mundane household chores, chat, and eat lunch.  It was so nice and fun too!

Crescent was moving away so we went out to dinner.  So sad... :(  She is majorly missed.

Our last hurrah before Crescent moved.  Just chillin in her shelves... oh my goodness it was late!!

The Johansons and Jace's 5th birthday

The Johansons came down to hang one weekend, and we decided to combine Jace and Ashlee's birthdays and have a party for both!  We went to gravity park!  It was so fun!  The men enjoyed the basketball hoop

Cute cousins.  :)  They kind of look alike I think

When dad's there you can get tossed as high as you desire

We had a little party for Ashlee that day and had a little BBQ for dinner.  The next day was Jace's actual birthday.  He got some fun presents he was excited about, including a batman Imaginext set.

Jace chose brownies for his cake.

Jace is such a sweet kid.  He is the most sensitive child in our family, and has a really big heart.  He's also very much a boy and loves acting like a tough guy.  He's very artistic and loves to draw.  He also builds, and invents things every day.  He is constantly making swords, bows, contraptions to hold things, and tying stuff up, etc. etc. etc.  He's a funny little guy.  He's really good at math kind of things too.  He's a pretty easy going, calm child, but at times the crazy definitely comes out of him!  (Usually around other boys or cousins!)  He is very good with routine and rules.  He is always reminding me to put my seat belt on, that we need to read scriptures, etc.  He's also really good at doing things on his own.  He gets all ready for the day before I have to ask him.  He will also pack his own lunch if needed, and always remembers if it's show and tell or whatever.  I'm not sure what that tells about him but I like it!  He will usually do whatever I ask him without a second thought.  He's especially good at doing his chores on his own.  He's not very good at cleaning his room though ;)  He's such a natural at sports and loves them, especially soccer.  Best of all he still loves to cuddle his mama and I love it!  Jace is such a special boy and I'm so lucky to be his mom!

January good weather!

We experienced some random good weather this January, so of course we had to get outside!  Here we are in front of the zoo.

Family walks are definitely our favorite family pastime.

I thought this plant looked so pretty, almost like it was on fire!

The lighting was so gorgeous so we took some pictures

ummm seriously can you please stop growing up?!
