Nice fall weather

The weather in the fall was amazing this year.  I felt like the warm days just kept coming and I was loving it!  Makenna ran in the jog a thon and did awesome!  Just look at that focus!  This is one week before Halloween...

Camryn first steps!

Camryn started walking on October 21st.  She took only a couple weeks from when she started standing on her own to when she started walking.  We used her lovie to get her to come at first!  She would do anything for that thing!  Once she took some steps she was walking about a week or two later exclusively.  Such a big girl!

Balloon Fiesta 2012

Our Balloon fiesta experience was kinda lame this year because we were sick and the day we were supposed to go was bad weather, and then the other day we were going to go was bad weather too!  So we never made it down to the park, but we still enjoyed seeing all the balloons in the sky!  The elementary school always launches a balloon in the morning before school.

Utah

 On September 28th I took a long overdue trip to Utah.  I had not been for over two years which means I had not seen Megan for that long which is crazy!!  We tried to figure out trips in between then but it just never worked out cause of pregnancies and whatever reason.  It was so good to see her.  We got some Kneaders and ate it at her house since Jed was out of town.  The kids went to bed and we stayed up super late talking about whatever.  :)  The next morning we just hung out and talked which was perfect because it was just so good to be together and to be able to catch up.  We went to Sub Zero which is my favorite ice cream joint in Utah.  You pick how creamy you want it and what you want in it and they mix the cream and mix-ins together and add liquid nitrogen which instantly freezes it and makes ice cream.  Sooo yummy

I stopped by to see grandma and grandpa for a little while.  It was really good to see them.

Then we headed up to the Relief Socity General Meeting at the conference center.

So fun to have all my sisters and mommy together!

Aunt Linda did amazing.  I am so excited to be able to hear her speak every year and that everyone will be able to know my sweet Aunt.  She's the best!  Of course we all balled through her talk.  We went to her house afterwards and stayed up late talking and being silly!  It was so fun to talk to Aunt Linda about all the neat things she's been up to since her calling.  I got to spend some really good time with all my cousins and catch up with them which was awesome!  I left early the next morning, but it was such a good trip!!!

Camryn turned 1!

My sweet baby girl turned 1 on September 16th.  I cannot believe it!  Here she is at one year...

Kenna says "take a picture of me and Cami," so I did, not realizing this is what she was going to do!  FREAKED me out!  haha  Good thing she seems to be enjoying herself!

Still the happiest baby on earth

She has found her voice and will scream at the top of her lungs if she needs anything, wants anything, is being teased, wants attention, or for no particular reason at all!

I can't remember her stats exactly but she was 50th percentile for height and weight!  We have an average baby for once!

Loves her daddy so much and will get super excited when she hears him come home.  Throughout the day she will say "daDA?" or "where Dada?"  She also will bring me the phone to call him.

Signs all done, more, and food.  She loves watching Signing Time.

She loves dogs and gets really excited and crazy when she sees them

She loves to wave to strangers

She also has more anxiety lately for strangers and has had a hard time a couple times when I have left her.

She's all over the place lately

She still has not figured out the fun of a toilet!  Wooohooo!  I hope she never does!  knock on wood

She does however LOVE the toothbrush drawer in the kids bathroom and will often go in there to get their toothbrushes and suck on them.

She still is not snuggly at all, but will put her head on you for a couple seconds to let you know she loves you

I love that baby so stinkin much.  She is so adorable and sweet.  I am sad she's getting older.  :(

Makenna's 7th birthday

Makenna turned 7 on Sept. 12th.  After she got ready for school we let her open her presents since Scott wouldn't be there at night.  She was so excited when she opened her eyes and saw this...

 She also got a LeapPad2 from grandma Sheffield/us.  She has the best reactions...

After school she had a playdate with her good friend, Mallory.  Then we went out to dinner at Dions with Aunt Stacy.  Then headed on over to Menchies where she got to pick whatever she wanted.  This is what she ended up with... 

We have a tradition on their birthdays that I take them to the store and they can pick anything they want within a certain amount.  Makenna chose a Barbie.

Makenna is such a special little spirit.  This is Makenna lately:

Way into art and drawing.  Her teacher always talks about what an amazing artist she is.  She definitely has some talent there.

She is really smart.  She amazes me sometimes by the things she knows and how fast she catches on to things.

Such a good, sweet friend.

She loves eating healthy and her favorite food is salad.

She loves barbies and barbie movies.

She is very spiritual and often throws out very deep questions.  She knows her scripture stories very well.

She is very good at memorizing things.

She loves doing mom school with me after she's done with her homework after school.

She is loved very much by her friends and cousins.

She is very helpful around the house.

She is a very good big sister to Jace and Cami

She had a hard little experience recently at school that broke my heart.  This little girl in her class started treating her really mean.  Makenna would come home very upset sometimes.  The girl would push her and call her names, and exclude her from her friends.  It was heartbreaking.  Every day Makenna would tell me the nice things she would do to this girl, and the nice things she would say, and I would tell her to just keep doing what she's doing.  Well just recently Makenna came home from school and told me that the girl apologized to her for being mean and now they are friends.  This is just one good example of what a kind-hearted girl Makenna is.  She would never do a mean thing to anyone, even someone treating her so unkind. We love our Kenna girl.
