Spring Soccer season

The kids finished up their soccer season this spring (They play 2 months in the fall, and 2 in the summer)  Jace is a great player.  He learned a lot about good sportsmanship and how to pass the ball, and not take it from players on your own team!  He did a great job with goals every game.  Makenna's team almost always played while Jace's did!  I always went to his, since Scott was Makenna's coach.  He absolutely loved coaching and can't wait to do it again.  Makenna is really good at defense, and doesn't like to play anything else!  The last game, she got to play forward and scored 3 goals!  I told the coach that next time he needs to let her play forward a little more.  :)

Brother and Sister

Cami idolizes her brother.  They have a really sweet relationship.  Jace is always playing with her and she loves it!  I caught some of their playing on my camera!

Bedroom Furniture

I've been wanting bedroom furniture for years now.  I just have not found a set I like!  After looking really hard for months, I decided to try to find a set on Craigslist that I could paint.  I looked every day for at least a month, and finally... I FOUND IT!  And it was $280 for the bed, nightstands, and a dresser!  SOLD!  To top  it off it's Thomasville, so it is really nice solid furniture.  Scott put his paint sprayer to work and we got it done in a weekend!  Love my painter husband!

We found these antique dressers also on Craigslist.  There is also a tall one that is in my closet.  They came with the beautiful brass pulls.  I love them.  We painted them a light gray, along with the nightstands.

This is the first bedding set I bought from pottery barn... it was nice but not quite what I wanted...

Next I tried this set from Ikea cause it was SO cheap!  Well, it looked cheap too...

Finally I went to West Elm on my trip to Phoenix and found this AWESOME duvet, and the shams too.  I LOVE it!!  It's exactly the feel I wanted in the room.

 Cami likes it too.  :)

Easter Sunday

This year for Easter, I gave the kids Easter Sunday outfits.  They looked so cute at church.

I love Easter Sunday and the opportunity we have to reflect on the Savior and his atonement and resurrection.  Church was wonderful.  I wish I could remember more of it now (July) but I do remember that I got just the spiritual experience at church that I was looking for.  We had the Burns over for dinner.  It was delicious and fun to have them.  Family is the best.  It's nice to have family nearby.

Botanical Gardens

I always try to take a trip to the botanical gardens in the spring to see the beautiful spring bulbs and flowers.  Scott got off work a little early and we went.  It was so nice because there were hardly any people there.

My sweet baby always stops to smell flowers everywhere we go!  I love that about her!

I love this so much because it caught something that is so Camryn, but I probably would have forgot about it!  She is a little shy around people she doesn't know, so the way we got her to warm up to people is she would stick her finger out and touch their finger.  It helped break the ice a little :)  So she did it to the statue haha

Easter egg hunt

 We went to a fun Easter egg hunt this year the Friday before Easter.  It was a lot of fun!  Chelsie is amazing to plan it all.  I could not believe how many people were there since we've never been able to make it!  We had a massive hunt and then lunch.  It was a beautiful day and was fun to catch up with some old friends.

Preschool

Jace has been in a fun mom preschool this year with these sweet kids!  This day we learned about farm animals, and the kids made some cute sheep!
