Utah/Idaho trip: Idaho!

After visiting the Becks, we spent the day with my brother, David, and his family.  It was our first time visiting their house, so it was fun to see where they live!  David made us the bomb.com barbecue!  Yummm it was so good.  Jace and Clark are really good buddies, so it was the best watching them play!  Jaclyn and Taylor came over which was the first time we've hung out since their wedding!  Good times playing games and talking.  Please tell me why I don't have any pictures?!  I'm so mad about that!

Next, we went up to Idaho to see Scott's sister's, Christa and Michelle, for Thanksgiving.  When we got there, we ate pizza then went to iJump!  This was our first time at a trampoline joint and so much fun!  The kids and Scott had a blast!

having the best time!

the next day, Scott and I went up to BYU-Idaho campus, and took our cute niece Emily with us.  This is where I used to live!

my apartment on the top left, 2nd apartment, in which played a role in Scott and I getting together...

I do not miss the cold!

This is where we met!  In the Hart gymnasium when Scott asked me to dance...

The campus is SOOO different now, for the better.  They have upgraded a lot of things.  The coolest was definitely the new Hart with a conference center and beautiful paintings all around the halls.  I love BYU Idaho so much.  It is such a special place that is really unlike any other.  It was so much fun reminiscing.  Some of my best memories...

these boys had a fun time together while we were gone!
We hung out the rest of the day at the Hart's house and stayed up late talking to Christa and Ryan.  We miss them so much!  We were so close all that time that we spent in Idaho.  It was good to spend a lot of time with them.

The next day we hung out with the Harts in the morning, then headed down the the Andersons.  It was such a beautiful day!  The kids played outside a lot on the trampoline, and the girls and I had a fun time talking.

It is so gorgeous there.  It looked like a storm was coming in, although I don't think one ever did :)
We played some games with the Andersons that night.  We played this really funny game called Chipetaw that always gets everyone giggling!

The next day was Thanksgiving, so we got up to head to Christa's "Run for your heart."  The only problem was it was RIDICULOUSLY cold.  The kids were supposed to go first, but it was so miserable, and they were having such a hard time!  Jace wouldn't even finish he was so cold.  Next was the adults!  We gave it a go, but went home after about 1 1/2 miles!  Slackers!

In our defense we were pushing this freezing baby in an umbrella stoller!

I love this picture cause it looks like Scott is having a really hard time!  haha.  It really wasn't that bad!

Ryan is the man and finished the 5k without any training!!

Then we headed back to the Andersons to cook of course!  The men sat around watching football, of course!  (I wouldn't have it any other way :)

OH MY YUMMMM!!

That night I took Michelle Black Friday shopping at the only store in her town, Walmart!  It was so horrible I don't even want to get into it... let's just say it was very disorganized and very squishy!

The next morning we said goodbye to the Andersons and traveled back down to Utah!  Such a fun time in Idaho!  I miss it, but it's too dang cold!

Utah/Idaho trip: Becks!

We took an amazing trip up to Utah and Idaho for Thanksgiving break.  It was such a great trip!  We started out by going to see our really good friends, the Becks.  It was SO good to have our families back together!  We got there on Friday night and put the kids to bed.  The adults stayed up late having the best time ever.  I seriously don't think a friend situation can get much better!  Megan and I are a lot alike, Scott and Jed are a lot alike, and our kids match up pretty well and have so much fun together!  We miss them so much!

The next day, we hung out all morning, then we went to Cabellas to possibly get a gun for Scott, and let the kids see all the dead animals :)  Well, Scott did end up getting a rifle!  He was so excited about it.  Too bad we didn't realize it would take forever to do the background check and everything so it took away precious Beck time!  Once he got it, it was the best thing ever for him.  Scott and Jed went up to the mountains to shoot it.

When the boys got back all the kids started wrestling with Jed!  He's under there somewhere...

The kids got cereal for dinner, and we got Cafe Rio!! yumm!!

we cannot forget this sweet sweet boy.  Megan is totally ahead of me in the baby department seeing as how our firsts were born on the same day!

Then it was LADIES NIGHHHHT!  You know are you good friends when it is just the two of you and you can have the best time ever and laugh until you cry!!  I love this girl so much!!!!  We went to get FroYo, then shopped a little, then headed on over to see Twilight!!  It was in the Imax theatre too so the screen was HUGE!!  jealous??  haha
TWILIGHHHHT!!

we had to run back to our car in the wind and rain!  It was really far and so funny!  My camera took this gem of a picture!!

saying goodbye!  We had so much fun seeing you guys!!

this was the best we could get!

Fall leaves

The kids made their leaf pile this year, but this time on the trampoline!  They had so much fun!

The election- November 6th

I cannot leave this day out because it was one of the biggest days of 2012 for me.  I had been really excited about Mitt Romney and all that he stands for.  I don't agree with everything he believes as a politician, but I know he is a good, honest man.  I was hoping so much that he was going to win the election because I felt that maybe he could at least turn our economy around.  He lost.  I don't think I can describe the feelings I felt adequately.  Not because the person I wanted to win lost, but because I feel like Obama is taking my country that I love away from me.  Everything he is doing is leading us away from all that America was founded on.   I don't think a lot of people see or understand the path he is leading us down because it's not super obvious now, but I believe it will come in time.  I woke up the day after the election just feeling so hopeless.  I honestly don't know if the country is going to get better until it goes down a sad and scary path.  Let's hope I am wrong.

this is so not funny...

Halloween 2012

On Halloween we had our ward Trunk or Treat which was good because this was literally the ONLY time I had to stick the kids in their costumes this year... which made me a VERY happy mommy!  That is the one thing I do not like about Halloween... putting the kids in their costumes over and over.  But, had we stayed through the whole ward party we would have missed trick or treating.... so we decided to leave after the trunk or treat part because our neighbors really like seeing our kids and plus it's just really fun!  Scott had a buddy he used to work with that wanted to bring the kids along which was really fun too.

At the trunk or treat... the only picture I got of all 3 :)

Cami was so stinkin cute during the trunk or treat pretending to drive the car (with sucker in mouth)
